Review of the Advantages / disadvantages of directional antennas: A directional antenna such as this concentrates all its gain in one direction. This results in a reception of a greater distance in that particular direction. But it also means a reception limited to the signals that come from other directions, since the trajectory horizontal is very small. We recommend this directional antenna for environments where you know the location of the signal of Wifi and is close to a line of sight open. If you are located in areas with great coverage of obstacles, there will be no improvement with respect to omnidirectional antenna series that comes in the kit Camp Pro 2. The installation is easy: turn off your WiFi device, and remove your antenna current. Attach the Alfa APA-L2410 to the N connector of your hardware and seal the area of the connector with waterproof tape (not included) if the setting is exposed to moisture.
This is a perfect addition to your kit WiFi extender Alfa Wifi Camp Pro 2. If you are trying to increase the intensity of the signal over a long distance open, this directional antenna may work better than the omnidirectional antenna that comes in the kit. Connects directly to the Alfa Tube-U (N) in the kit Camp Pro 2 and does not need a mount separate. Keep in mind that each environment is different and, in many cases, an omni will be more ideal than a directional one. Therefore, we suggest that you see this antenna as an additional tool that can benefit in some environments (most of the places with the largest distance open), and you don't see it as an "upgrade" and wait for the signal increases in all environments. You should seal the connection with waterproof tape as you would with any antenna connection. Alpha does not manufacture this antenna, but is designed to work well with this team.
