Alfa network WiFi Camp 2 Mini

It includes the same R36A USB WiFi router found in the Alfa WiFi Camp Pro 2 kit, but instead of the larger outdoor USB tube and antenna, it includes an indoor USB receiver and a smaller 5 dBi antenna.

This mini WiFi kit is a perfect solution to increase the range where the original Alfa WiFi Camp Pro 2 can be too big. If you own a motorhome and do not want to mount a large and long outdoor antenna outside the AC, then you can use the Kit Camp Pro mini from the window of the vehicle and can obtain an optimal result, especially on small terraces in complexes of apartments where housing regulations may prohibit the installation of larger outdoor WiFi antennas. Or take it with you in a laptop travel bag and use it in a hotel or on the road.

The Alfa WiFi Camp Pro 2 Mini package includes:

This is a special shipping kit featuring all of the above equipment designed to pick up a weak WiFi signal and repeat it as your own personal access point. This is ideal for use on boats, RVs and motorhomes, or larger properties.

Alfa R36A USB Router

This is the successor to the previous Alfa R36 model, and is a special 802.11n router with a USB port that allows you to share the long-range WiFi connection of the Alfa Tube-U (N) USB Outdoor Wireless Adapter. Now you can extend a weak WiFi signal to all your devices, such as smartphones, printers, and tablets. R36A features internal hardware updates for better overall performance and reliability. It also features a completely redesigned on-page configuration interface.

Alfa AWUS036NH USB Receiver

This component comes with a 3 meter long USB cable that runs in the R36A's USB port. This is the receiving radio that picks up the distant WiFi signal. It has a male RP-SMA antenna connector. It also comes with a 5 dBi gain dipole antenna.

If desired, the AWUS036NH can also be connected to the USB port of a compatible Windows 10 computer to extend the range to just that PC, but using it with the R36A will allow you to share reception with multiple WiFi-enabled devices at once.

How Camp Pro 2 mini works

Use all of these above components together to boost and share a WiFi signal. Simply connect your computer to the R36A via an ethernet cable or a WiFi connection for a one-time setup. Connect the AWUS036NH to the USB port of the R36A. With the R36A's built-in WiFi scanning software that you will see during the setup wizard, you can scan and connect to available wireless networks in your area. Once the R36A has connected to a network, you will be prompted to name and password protect your new local WiFi network, offering any device within a few hundred feet the ability to use the same distant WiFi signal.

Reach distance

There is no defined range distance or specific range that can be calculated as the range can vary greatly depending on the environment and environmental factors such as obstacles, building walls, trees, and interference. We recommend using this in an area where other devices can at least transmit a weak signal to the desired network, such as a bar. If the environment is such that your devices cannot even see the desired network from the place of intended use, the Camp Pro may not work well there.
